Wheel of Fortune fans were astonished when they heard this news.
One of the most-popular game shows in the country is making a drastic change.
And Wheel of Fortune will never be the same after Pat Sajak’s daughter landed this new role on the show.
Nothing beats Wheel of Fortune
Game shows are as American as apple pie.
Most families have a favorite game show that they all enjoy together.
And many have fond memories of gathering around the television and watching classic game shows like Match Game and Family Feud.
But one of the game shows that has stood to test the time is Wheel of Fortune.
Started in 1975, Wheel of Fortune is still running strong to this day.
And since Wheel of Fortune has been on nightly since 1983, Pat Sajak and Vanna White have been the two co-hosts who kept the fans entertained over the years.
After being on Wheel of Fortune for so long, Vanna White has really become a fan favorite and an icon symbol in game show history.
But it looks like Vanna White may be getting some unwanted competition for her starring role in Wheel of Fortune.
Pat’s Daughter for Vanna’s role?
Pat Sajak is a star in his own right, but his daughter is also making a name for herself as a model and social media influencer.
And on Monday, Pat’s daughter, Maggie Sajak, announced that she is going to be competing against Vanna White for her starring role on the game show.
On Wednesday, during a Celebrity Wheel of Fortune episode, Maggie will step into Vanna White’s shoes as a co-host of the show.
Maggie shared the news by posting a picture on social media showing her on the set with the caption, “Warming up for Wednesday.”

The Celebrity Wheel of Fortune episode should be a classic.
Not only will Maggie be giving her best shot at getting Vanna White’s job, but competitors on the episode will be The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik and Jeopardy host and former contestant Ken Jennings.
But Maggie’s stint on the Wheel of Fortune could go well beyond this one episode.
After all, Vanna White’s time on the game show is limited.
She turns 67 next February and is likely thinking about retirement.
But what is uncertain about Wheel of Fortune’s future is who will take Vanna White’s place when she retires.
And as of right now, Maggie Sajak is leading the pack of possible replacements.
Wheel of Fortune has had the same two hosts for nearly forty years.
And, hopefully, the classic game show can keep its legacy of good family entertainment going over the change of hands to run the show.
