Whoopi Goldberg may get fired from “The View” for a reason no one could have predicted

Whoopi Goldberg has co-hosted The View for nearly 20 years.

But all things must come to an end.

And Whoopi Goldberg may get fired from The View for a reason no one could have predicted.

A call to re-invent The View

British journalist Piers Morgan wrote in a New York Post op-ed that it was time for the ladies of The View to get the boot because the show needed to re-invent itself.

Morgan called the show “a relentless assault on their eardrums from a bunch of partisan obsessives competing with each other over who detests Trump most.”

Morgan found it especially ridiculous that every single co-host showed up to work the day after the election wearing all black to symbolize like they were attending the nation’s funeral since Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris, despite the fact that the results showed they were in the clear minority.

“Their nadir came the day after the election, when to their horror, the man they’ve spent years branding a vile, bigoted, racist fascist won absolutely everything: the popular vote, the Electoral College, the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives,” Morgan added.

“In a truly farcical gesture of brazen bias, the six hosts all trotted out in funereal black clothing because they were in mourning,” Morgan added.

Morgan noted the hypocrisy of several hosts who attacked Trump as a racist despite having their own racial issues.

Joy Behar once wore blackface to a Halloween party.

Whoopi Goldberg got suspended for saying the Holocaust wasn’t about race.

Morgan said the co-hosts of The View lacked the basic self-awareness to understand that the election was a complete repudiation of the world view their show came to symbolize.

“Trump’s win had everything to do with policy, especially on the economy and immigration, and the people most aggressively fueling cultural resentment have been the hosts of The View, whose insufferably woke worldview just got repudiated in spectacular fashion,” Morgan wrote.

Morgan says he despises cancel culture.

And he doesn’t want to see The View go away entirely.

Morgan wants to see The View return to its original premise when Barbara Walters first put it on the air in 1997, which was a show where women from different backgrounds, age groups, and life experiences sat around a coffee table and kibitzed in the morning about their lives.

In his op-ed, Morgan said the current iteration of The View is redundant because the show now features five women who all hate Donald Trump.

And if the show is to prosper, it needs to find a new cast and reboot.

“I don’t like cancel culture — but given that the hosts of The View have, by their own admission, worked so hard to cancel Donald Trump, it’s time they were canceled themselves,” Morgan stated.
