Travis Kelce kicked up a hornet’s nest on social media by liking an Instagram post from former ESPN host Sage Steele, where she expressed her gratitude for finally getting to meet Donald Trump at a UFC fight.
“What. A. Night. After years of covering @ufc at ESPN, I FINALLY got to see it live & in person. Game changer. THANK YOU @danawhite … for EVERYTHING! Great people, great event, great fights! (Check out the last video – it’s the final minute of the main card fight .. so intense!!!) 🇺🇸#ufc299,” Steele wrote on the caption of the photo of her meeting Trump.
Steele – who left ESPN after the left-wing network suspended her for critical comments about Barack Obama and her public opposition to the COVID vaccine mandate – concluded her post with a barb about how Democrats support every kind of diversity except for diversity of thought.
“(Cue the divisive, close-minded thoughts and unfollows in 3…2…1… 😂) #diversityofthought,” Steele concluded.
Steele had no idea at the time how right she would end up being.
Taylor Swift fans freak out over Kelce liking Steele’s post
Swift’s fans – known as “Swifties” – freaked out over their idol dating someone who doesn’t hate Donald Trump.
Some fumed that they knew all along that a hulking NFL tight end from middle America would be a Trump supporter.

“Travis Kelce has liked a post on instagram praising Donald Trump. I always knew this man had MAGA energy but now we have proof,” a Swift fan ranted.
Others expressed how stunned they were to find out the news.
“Not Travis Kelce liking a post with Trump in it???” and commenting that “I wasn’t expecting Travis Kelce to be a Trump supporter but here we are,” another Swift fan posted on X.
“Travis Kelce likes TRUMP?” one user wrote. “I would’ve never guessed this in a million years, this is shocking news!! What’s next? Grass is green? The sun is a star???” one “Swiftie” wrote on social media.
The outrage on social media over Travis Kelce doing something as simple as liking a post – he may have only done so because he was friends with Steele from her days at ESPN – proved her point that Democrats are authoritarians who can’t handle opposing points of view.
