The GOP establishment continues to betray conservatives.
Now the rank and file are striking back.
And a RINO traitor got hit with a rude awakening over this unforgivable deal with Chuck Schumer.
RINO Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is conspiring with Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden on a $106 billion slush fund that includes another $61 billion in funding for the war in Ukraine.
Conservatives oppose any new funding to escalate Joe Biden’s failed war against Russia, but McConnell thinks he can jam Republicans into voting for the fund by wrapping it up with money for Israel and the border.
McConnell, who once said securing funding for the war in Ukraine is the Republican Party’s number one priority, made the rounds on the Sunday shows and appeared in his home state of Kentucky with Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, Oksana Markarova, to promote Joe Biden’s $106 billion boondoggle.
McConnell bragged about how he and Schumer were on the same page in terms of plunging America further into debt to fight a war over the security of the Ukrainian border.
“We have the same belief: We should get the big supplemental done,” McConnell said.
But even McConnell’s RINO allies in the Senate, like Minority Whip John Thune, understands that the McConnell-Biden-Schumer Ukraine slush fund scheme faces long odds.
“We have a number of our members who are not for Ukraine funding,” Thune stated. “I think there’s a big majority that understands what’s at stake here.”
Senate conservatives, like Wisconsin’s Ron Johnson and Ohio’s J.D. Vance, opposed the McConnell plan and predicted that the House of Representatives would split the Israel money off from the Ukraine funding, which would be a major blow to McConnell.
“That’s what he believes. There are plenty of people, particularly in the House, that are not going to agree with him, and I don’t think it has a chance to pass in the House. There’s some real resistance here as well,” Johnson told POLITICO. “I just don’t think it’s gonna succeed.”
Vance and one other Senate Republican questioned the ability of McConnell to round up nine votes to break a GOP filibuster opposing the $106 billion slush fund.
“There’s actually pretty wide consensus that we should separate Israel from the package,” Vance stated. “Whether there are nine Republicans who are willing to break off and join the Democrats is an open question.”
“He thinks it’s big enough and important enough that nine Republicans would vote with him on that. I’m not sure he gets that,” the anonymous Senate Republican added. “What happens if the House sends us an Israeli-aid only bill?”
The war in Ukraine is the chief priority of the globalist agenda and its supporters in the Swamp, like McConnell, Schumer, and Biden.
But funding the war in Ukraine ranks low on the list of problems Americans believe the country faces, such as inflation, crime, and the wide-open southern border.
