And now, Alvin Bragg admitted a huge defeat that left Donald Trump grinning from ear to ear.
Alvin Bragg sued Chairman Jim Jordan and the House Judiciary Committee to try and block a subpoena forcing former Manhattan District Attorney Mark Pomerantz to testify on the record.
Pomerantz resigned from the District Attorney’s office in protest of Bragg not charging Trump on baseless financial crimes charges.
He also wrote a book calling Donald Trump a criminal.
Republicans want to question Pomerantz to see how deep the rot of anti-Trump bias ran in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and to also gain access to documents that could show coordination with the Biden administration on the witch hunt.
But Bragg dropped his lawsuit after realizing there was no hope for victory.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg dropped his lawsuit against the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee after the two sides reached a “settlement agreement” that will clear the way for the panel to interview a former prosecutor who investigated former President Donald Trump.
Aides to Bragg and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) announced the agreement late Friday after the lawsuit had escalated to an appeals court following a federal judge’s decision to decline to block a subpoena to the former prosecutor, Mark Pomerantz.
U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil also tossed out Bragg’s lawsuit.
After Bragg appealed, a Circuit Court paused the subpoena and gave him a chance to make his case.
But Bragg knew he had no chance of winning.
Judge Vyskcoil noted that Congress has the authority to conduct oversight investigations as it sees fit.
Vyskocil also pointed out that Bragg took no steps to muzzle Pomerantz when he wrote a tell-all book about the prosecution and went on a media tour to promote it.
Republicans want to hold Bragg accountable for weaponizing the justice system against Donald Trump as part of a larger effort by Democrats to help Joe Biden in the 2024 election.
The House Judiciary Committee just won the first skirmish in this battle.
And Republicans are determined to show the American people how Democrat prosecutors in New York, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. are using sham investigations to force Donald Trump out of the 2024 election.
