Trump rolled out a number of policy proposals in recent weeks such as defending freedom of speech to put meat on the bone on his campaign platform.
The latest Trump agenda item is taking on the woke bureaucracy that achieved a stranglehold on education.
Trump’s plan for a second term includes defunding schools that brainwash students with Critical Race Theory or groom them into transgenderism.
A Trump administration would also initiate civil rights investigations into schools that allowed biological males to play women’s sports or discriminated against schools in admissions or advanced placement classes by race.

The plan, shared in advance with POLITICO, calls for cutting federal funding for any school or program that includes “critical race theory, gender ideology, or other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content onto our children.” It also calls for opening “civil rights investigations into any school district that has engaged in race-based discrimination,” particularly against Asian American students, and promises to “keep men out of women’s sports.”
The proposals are not focused solely on social policy and school curriculum. In a video unveiling the plan, which was shared by his campaign, Trump also calls for making significant cuts to administrative personnel and the end of teacher tenure and the election of school principals.
“As the saying goes, personnel is policy and at the end of the day if we have pink-haired communists teaching our kids we have a major problem,” Trump said. “We’re at the end of the list on education and yet we spend the most, but we’re going to be tops in education no matter where you go anywhere in the world.”
Taking on wokeism in schools proved to be a popular and winning issue for Republicans.
In 2021, Glenn Youngkin won the Virginia Gubernatorial election as a Republican for the first time since 2009 in large part to parents’ backlash over Critical Race Theory and mask mandates in schools.
Last year, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis smashed Democrats in a 19-point re-election win by signing the Stop WOKE and Parental Rights in Education Acts into law.
Those commonsense pieces of legislation banned Critical Race Theory and teachers from brainwashing students in grades K-3 into transgenderism with sexually-explicit lesson plans.
Now Donald Trump is planning to take this fight national.
And that will put Democrats on the wrong side of a popular issue.
