The Durham report is finally public and the conclusions are leaving Americans stunned.
Special Counsel John Durham found that the rot at the FBI ran far deeper than anyone knew.
And John Durham discovered a secret about Hillary Clinton that the FBI tried to hide.
Despite knowing there was no evidence to support the theory and with the full knowledge that Hillary Clinton and her campaign invented the scandal, the Durham report showed that the FBI’s own bias against Donald Trump led to the Bureau opening up the Russian-collusion investigation.
But, just as devastating to the FBI was the fact that Durham exposed the two-tiered system of justice at play with how the Bureau sabotaged multiple investigations into Hillary Clinton and the Clinton foundation.
Durham found that a confidential human source (CHS) tipped off the FBI that a foreign government had dispatched a donor “to contribute to Clinton’s anticipated Presidential campaign as a way to gain influence with Clinton should she win the Presidency.”
The FBI only won a FISA warrant to spy on the donor under the condition that the Bureau conducted a defensive briefing to the Clinton campaign.
AN FBI agent claimed that the leadership at the Bureau only got gun shy about the investigation due to their belief that Hillary would win the election.
“They were pretty ‘tippy-toeing’ around HRC because there was a chance she would be the next President,” the agent testified.
And in November of 2015, that same CHS told the FBI that a second foreign government sought to contribute to Clinton’s campaign “in exchange for the protection of [that country’s] interests should Clinton become President.”
The CHS told the FBI agent handling the case that “hey [the campaign] were okay with it, and yes, they were fully aware from the start.”
Durham found that the FBI tanked this investigation.
The FBI agents on the case “could not explain why this apparent illegal contribution was not documented in FBI records.”
The FBI put the investigation on ice after management “told the CHS to stay away from all events relating to Clinton’s campaign.”
The CHS claims his superiors told him “do NOT attend any more campaign events, set up meetings, or anything else relating to [Clinton’s] campaign. We need to keep you completely away from that situation. I don’t know all the details, but it’s for your own protection.”
Durham’s report noted that the FBI bent over backwards to give the Clinton campaign a defensive briefing about a foreign government attempting to run influence operations against it, but rushed to open a counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign on nonexistent ground.
The FBI made “no effort to investigate the possible illegal campaign contribution” to Clinton’s campaign “or the Clinton campaign’s purported acceptance of a campaign contribution made by the FBI’s own long-term.”
Durham found that the FBI actively sabotaged an investigation into the Clinton Foundation despite a solid predicate for probing the organization.
The communication opening the investigation “referred to an intelligence product and corroborating financial reporting that a particular commercial industry likely engaged a federal public official in a flow of benefits scheme, namely, large monetary contributions were made to a non-profit, under both direct and indirect control of the federal public official, in exchange for favorable government action and/or influence.”
Durham wrote that the findings “included predication based on source reporting that identified foreign governments that had made, or offered to make, contributions to the Foundation in exchange for favorable or preferential treatment from Clinton.”
Despite all of the evidence, then-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe reportedly ordered the case closed.
For six years, Donald Trump said there was a double standard of justice at work in the FBI.
And the Durham report proved him right.
