It was another master class of incompetence on display in the White House press briefing room.
This shouldn’t have been that difficult for Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre to handle.
But Karine Jean-Pierre lost her marbles when Peter Doocy asked this simple question.
Media and Democrats lie about Donald Trump
Joe Biden’s main campaign message is that Donald Trump incited political violence and is too dangerous to become President again.
Since there is no evidence to back up this lie, Biden and the media have to manufacture fake controversies.
The latest example came when Donald Trump insinuated that there would be a bloodbath for the American auto industry if he didn’t win in November.
The Biden campaign and the media seized on Trump’s comments to falsely claim that he said his supporters would carry out a bloodbath if he lost the election.
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked Jean-Pierre why it was wrong for Trump to use the phrase bloodbath, but ok for Joe Biden to use that phrase.
Karine Jean-Pierre stumbles over media double standard question
“So when Donald Trump is talking about a bloodbath, it is violent rhetoric,” Doocy stated. “What was it when Joe Biden said in 2020, ‘what we can’t let happen is this primary become a negative bloodbath?’”
Jean-Pierre’s response was gibberish.
“So I’m gonna be really mindful and careful about Donald Trump, but if you read — because he is a candidate — we’re talking about the 2024 election — you should read what he said in its context. So you gotta read what he said in context,” Jean-Pierre started to answer before Doocy cut her off.
“I understand. Bloodbath is an ugly word when Trump uses it. Why is it ok when Biden uses it?” Doocy responded.
Jean-Pierre’s incomprehensible response left Doocy pressing her for a real answer.
“No, no, no. Let’s be very clear. You gotta actually ask me the question in context of what it was said, right? And what it was said when he said that, right, in his remarks, in his speech. So that’s being disingenuous in your question,” Jean-Pierre replied.
“I’m reading a direct quote from Joe Biden. ‘What we can’t let happen is let this primary become a negative bloodbath,’” Doocy shot back.
Jean-Pierre did as she always does when Doocy tries to pin her down for an actual response and just shouted that the question was illegitimate.
“He was talking about a group of people,” Jean-Pierre declared. “A group of people. That’s what he’s talking about. What the President was talking about during the primary was not to allow it to be — the words and the primary and that election — to become negative. Two different things. They’re not the same. They’re not the same. And your question is disingenuous.”
Jean-Pierre doesn’t have a good answer because there is no good answer.
If Jean-Pierre told the truth, then she would be forced to admit the campaign lied about Trump’s bloodbath comments because they could expect the media to carry their water.
