But no one ever thought he could sink to this low.
And Tucker Carlson was shocked to learn this dark secret about Joe Biden from a Gold Star dad.
The botched withdrawal from Afghanistan in August of 2021 resulted in the death of 13 American servicemen at the Kabul airport by an ISIS-affiliated suicide bomber.
President Joe Biden’s poor planning and preparation resulted in the Taliban handling the security situation outside the airport, which put American lives in danger.
Gold Star dad arrested at the State of the Union speech
Biden rarely mentions the Afghanistan withdrawal after it sent his approval ratings into a downward spiral.
During the State of the Union Address, he was confronted by the father of a Marine who was killed at the Kabul airport.
Gold Star father Steven Nikoui shouted, “Remember Abbey Gate! U.S. Marines!” at Biden while he was speaking.
His son, Marine Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui, was one of the 13 American servicemen killed in Kabul.
Abbey Gate was the gate at the Kabul airport where the attack on American troops occurred.
Nikoui was arrested during the State of the Union and charged with a misdemeanor that carried a potential 90-day jail sentence and a maximum fine of $500.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia dropped the charges two weeks later after outcry poured in from Republicans.
Biden never contacted grieving military family members
Steven Nikoui sat down for an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and revealed that Biden never contacted him after he received his son’s remains from Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.
“Between the time you spent in Dover receiving your son’s remains, staying in the Motel Six with human feces on the wall, between that and this State of the Union earlier this month, had you had any contact with Biden or the White House?” Carlson asked.
“Never,” Nikoui responded. “We’ve never had any contact with the White House or Biden. And we have reached out or, McCall and several people, several families have reached out to, you know, maybe have a roundtable with them, see what their, what their thinking was, anything, you know, onerous or, you know, onerous on our children and yes, something and they just refused. I don’t know why they hate us so much, to be honest with you. I have no idea. I mean.”
“Because you’re a living reminder of their failure,” Carlson remarked.
Biden is portrayed as a man of great empathy by Democrats and their media allies.
But he wants to distance himself from the Afghanistan debacle because of the political damage it’s done to his Presidency.
And that includes ignoring the Gold Star families who lost their loved ones during the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan.
His administration never fired anyone in the Defense Department or took any accountability for what went wrong.
That’s why he’s hoping he can just sweep the fiasco he created under the rug in an Election Year.
