The ATF Director got stumped by one question that left members of Congress questioning his competence

The Democrats have a hard time answering a lot of easy questions.

But one question about a prominent gun control talking point has Democrats extra baffled.

And the ATF Director got stumped by one question that left members of Congress questioning his competence.

Democrats live on a throne of lies

Democrats are always ranting and raving about politically-correct viewpoints.

But the majority of their views are based on lies or misinformation.

The issue of gender dysphoria within the Democrat Party is one example.

Over the past couple of years, the Democrats have gone full-fledged senile and truly believe there is no real difference between a man and a woman.

Most Democrats claim to believe that the United States Assistant Secretary of Health, Rachel Levine, is an actual woman because he feels like a woman.

Of course, we all know that Levine is a man.

But the Democrats have prominent members of their Party, like Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, who could not define what a woman is to Congress.

Gender dysphoria is not the only lie that is plaguing the Democrats from the truth.

Democrats can’t define “assault weapon” – but can still ban it

For decades, Democrats have been on the warpath against law-abiding gun owners who own so-called “assault weapons.”

They cherry pick mass shootings that take place with an AR-15 and use these shootings as political fodder to bolster their pursuit to strip Americans of the right to own scary looking guns.

But when Democrats actually talk about an “assault weapons” ban, they really have no idea what they are talking about.

Just look at how Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Director Steve Dettelbach got stumped on a simple question about “assault weapons.”

Texas Republican Congressman Jake Ellzey asked Director Dettelbach to define an “assault weapon” in fifteen seconds.

“I’ll go shorter than that, because honestly, if Congress wishes to take that up, I think Congress would have to do the work, but we would be there to provide technical assistance,” Dettelbach responded. “I, unlike you, am not a firearms expert to the same extent as you maybe, but we have people at ATF who can talk about velocity of firearms, what damage different kinds of firearms cause, so that whatever determination you chose to make would be an informed one.”

This answer is complete nonsense.

Anyone with ten minutes of firearms training knows that a .223 caliber bullet is going to do minimum damage compared to your average hunting rifle that shoots a common .308 or .30-06 caliber.

Once again, Democrats cannot define something that their entire platform is built upon – like the definition of an “assault weapon.”
