Liz Cheney spent two years trying to make sure this day would never come.
But Cheney’s reckoning is upon her.
And now Tucker Carlson revealed the public will see this shocking video that will destroy Liz Cheney.
As part of his agreement to secure the votes to become the next Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy made a number of concessions to conservatives.
One of the promises conservatives extracted from McCarthy was to release all 14,000 hours of security camera footage from January 6.
“I think the public should see what happened on that day,” McCarthy said during his first official press conference as Speaker of the House. “I watched what Nancy Pelosi did, where she politicized it. […] I think the American public should actually see what happened instead of a report that’s written for a political basis.”
Up until now, the public has only seen Liz Cheney and the January 6 Committee’s carefully curated version of the events that unfolded that day.
The committee selectively leaked testimony and video footage to create the false narrative that Donald Trump inspired an insurrection to overthrow the government and that Trump’s supporters are a pack of domestic terrorists.
Carlson praised McCarthy’s decision to release the January 6 footage and wondered why anyone could oppose McCarthy making all 14,000 hours public in the name of transparency.
“Well, yeah. After two full years, after a highly publicized and highly politicized congressional committee, after endless grandstanding in the media, after unprecedented political crackdowns, after nearly 1,000 arrests, after all of that: Americans, yes they do, have a right to know what actually happened on Jan. 6,” Carlson stated. “That’s what Kevin McCarthy said. Who could argue otherwise? What is the counter argument?”
Carlson mocked the Biden administration’s claim that making the footage public would harm Capitol security by pointing out everyone already knew every square inch of the Capitol was under video surveillance.
“’You can’t know whether the Capitol’s surveillance cameras pan, tilt or zoom — and if you do know, America is in peril.’ It’s completely absurd. Every human movement in the United States Capitol is recorded by cameras, and you already knew that because the same is true in virtually every public building in the Western hemisphere,” Carlson added. “That is not a secret. That, of course, is not the secret the Democrats fear you might learn if you saw the tape.”
Carlson said what the Biden administration really feared was the fact that releasing the video footage would make it clear once and for all how many undercover federal informants were on the ground that day and what their role was in sparking any violent activists.
“They are probably a lot more concerned about whether you will discover how many law enforcement agents actively helped Jan. 6 protesters enter the building that day,” Carlson continued. “Some of them definitely did, we know that for a fact because we have the tape.”
