Donald Trump has this huge meeting that will decide his Vice-Presidential pick

Apr 26, 2024

Donald Trump has clinched the GOP nomination.

But Trump has one more decision to make before the General Election against Joe Biden.

And Donald Trump has this huge meeting that will decide his Vice-Presidential pick.

Trump narrows down running mate shortlist

Donald Trump is expected to name his running mate by June.

And like the former reality show TV host, Trump looks to have set up a final round of auditions at Mar-a-Lago.

Republicans rumored to be on the Vice-Presidential shortlist are all slated to attend a donor retreat in early May in Palm Beach, Florida.

“A copy of the invitation obtained by POLITICO lists 16 special guests for the May 3-5 event in Palm Beach. Among them are some of the top names being mentioned for Trump’s general election ticket: Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, Tim Scott of South Carolina and J.D. Vance of Ohio, as well as Govs. Doug Burgum of North Dakota and Kristi Noem of South Dakota, and Reps. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) and Byron Donalds (R-Fla.),” POLITICO reported.

One of Donald Trump’s big questions about a potential running mate is who can help him raise money, as Joe Biden is expected to hold a significant cash advantage thanks to Big Labor, Hollywood, Wall Street, and every other major institution in America pouring money into his campaign.

Trump putting his top picks for Vice President in front of GOP donors will serve as a beta test run for these candidates to see if they measure up.

Trump also ranks loyalty high on his list

After Mike Pence and other establishment Republicans spent four years working against him, Trump wants a Vice President who will be loyal to him and his America First agenda.

Polls showing Donald Trump leading Biden nationally and in the key battleground states means that being his running mate could hand them the golden ticket to frontrunner status in 2028.

This has establishment RINOs scurrying to position themselves to be attractive to Trump as a running mate.

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) is one of the biggest warmongers in Washington, D.C.

Rubio has supported every war that’s come down the pike and previously championed Joe Biden’s blank check for Ukraine.

Rubio also led the Gang of 8 in the 2013 amnesty bill.

And following the 2018 tragedy in Parkland, Rubio came out as a cheerleader for red flag confiscation laws.

But with talk that Trump is considering him for Vice President, Rubio wants to shore up his standing with the conservative base.

Marco Rubio tries to fix his image problem

Rubio tried to kill two birds with one stone by voting against Joe Biden’s $95 billion foreign aid giveaway – which included $61 billion more in taxpayer money for the war in Ukraine – because it didn’t contain one cent for border security in America.

Rubio even went so far as to call the bill “blackmail.”

“So if I don’t drop my demands that the President enforce our immigration laws & agree to spend billions to help bring migrants Israel, Ukraine & Taiwan do not get the help they need & TikTok won’t be banned? This is legislative blackmail & I will not vote for blackmail,” Rubio wrote on social media.

But at heart, Marco Rubio is a gun grabber, an amnesty supporter, and a warmonger.

And Marco Rubio is in no way, shape, or form loyal to the America First conservative agenda that Donald Trump used to reshape the GOP.
