This Vice Presidential pick could seal Donald Trump’s fate in 2024

Feb 21, 2024

Donald Trump against Joe Biden is the matchup that voters in both parties want to see this fall.

But there is a wildcard who could shake things up a bit.

And this Vice Presidential pick could seal Donald Trump’s fate in 2024.

The center-left group No Labels raised $70 million to secure ballot access in all 50 states for a so-called “unity” ticket.

Group founder and Democrat Nancy Jacobson came under fire from the Left for trying to run a third-party ticket that would drain votes from Joe Biden.

Jacobson categorically stated that her group would pull the plug on any ticket if they thought it would help Trump win.

“As a Democrat? Categorically, that will not happen,” Jacobson told NBC. “This effort will never — we’ll pull it down.”

That means No Labels is looking for a ticket that will hit the sweet spot with moderate Republicans and Independents who may have voted for Joe Biden in 2020, but now see him as a senile failure and want a return to the economy that Donald Trump built in 2019 before the pandemic wrecked everything.

West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin is retiring from the Senate and is actively considering the idea of running on a No Labels ticket.

That means Manchin would need a RINO to join him as a running mate.

On a listening tour in Cleveland, Manchin floated the names of two RINOs he could pick as a running mate – Mitt Romney and former Ohio Senator Rob Portman.

“Hypothetically, if I was picking my running mate, really who I would ask right now is Mitt Romney,” Manchin stated.

“Rob’s a dear friend of mine,” Manchin added. “What a good man.”

Portman and Romney are RINOs who voted for Joe Biden’s gun control scheme, the Green New Deal, and corporate welfare bailout bills.

They are the exact type of left-wing Republican who swing voters may believe provide “balance” to a ticket with Manchin.

Manchin will make his decision soon.

He said he is waiting to see how things stood following the March 5 Super Tuesday primaries.

“Let me just say I have never been a spoiler, nor will I ever be a spoiler on any election,” Manchin said in an interview with Fox News. “If I’m involved, I’m involved to win. But to be a spoiler for the sake of throwing the election one way or the other, I would never do.”

“For any third-party attempt, it would define itself by, let’s say, Super Tuesday. If there’s going to be any movement whatsoever,” Manchin added. “So we’ll just see where we are at that point in time. Right now, both parties seem to have a hard time with the candidates.”

“I think you start looking after Super Tuesday to find out what the lay of the land is going to be. A lot can change in the next two months. So let’s wait and see,” Manchin concluded.

Manchin is only running to hurt Donald Trump’s chances.

And any decision he makes will be viewed through that lens.
