Comedian Bill Maher issued a dire warning about this surprising problem facing Joe Biden

Feb 2, 2024

Joe Biden’s re-election campaign is limping towards a November showdown with Donald Trump.

The number of Americans ready to turn the page on his regime is growing.

And comedian Bill Maher issued a dire warning about this surprising problem facing Joe Biden.

President Joe Biden’s campaign strategy is to divert the public’s attention from his massive failings in office to make the election a referendum on former President Donald Trump.

Typically, an election with a President running for re-election is a referendum on the incumbent, but that would spell doom for Biden.

His approval rating is hovering around Jimmy Carter territory and the country is in crisis under his failed leadership.

Biden is running a dark, divisive re-election campaign that smears Trump and his supporters as a threat to democracy and enemies of the state.

Left-wing comedian Bill Maher isn’t afraid to call out his side of the political aisle.

The host of HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher knocked Biden for using non-stop attacks on Trump as the centerpiece of his re-election strategy.

“I also think it’s not a great strategy to run a Democratic campaign based on ‘How can they like this guy?!’ Because some people just do …” Maher said.

Maher warned that Biden is facing serious problems with two key voter groups that are essential to his re-election chances.

Cracks are emerging in Joe Biden’s political coalition that he needs to get re-elected

Maher said on his show that “two liabilities” facing Biden that have emerged in polling over the past couple of months are Hispanics and “people under 35.”

“Let’s take the first one,” Maher said. “That’s the issue of immigration, or at least it seems that’s what the Democrats think it is. And yet they’re the party that keeps losing Hispanics to the party of razor wire now.”

Maher referenced the recent legal battle between Biden and Texas over the state laying razor wire at the border.

He said that Democrats needed to figure out why Hispanic voters are beginning to gravitate towards Trump.

Polling shows that Biden has continued to lose among Hispanics who are a crucial voting demographic in the battleground states of Arizona and Nevada.

In the 2020 Election, Trump made gains with Hispanic voters across the country and the trend could continue this year.

Maher said that Biden’s struggle with young voters is because the Israel-Hamas war has become a “wedge issue” dividing the Democrat Party.

“The kids love Hamas,” Maher remarked.

Many younger Democrat voters are outraged at Biden for not pushing for a ceasefire in Israel’s war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Younger members of Biden’s staff are even revolting against him over his handling of the war.

Biden administration staffers held a vigil outside the White House to push for the President to call for a permanent ceasefire in the conflict.

These younger voters almost certainly won’t be voting Republican in the fall, but they could cast a protest vote for a third-party Presidential candidate or not even bother to show up to vote.

Cracks are forming in the political coalition that carried Joe Biden to victory in 2020, and this spells big trouble for the embattled President.
