Polls show Donald Trump is the frontrunner for the 2024 GOP Presidential nomination.

And Donald Trump appeared on CNN and you won’t believe what happened next.
Donald Trump appeared on CNN for the first time since 2016 in a town hall event in New Hampshire.
Everyone – Left, Right, and Center – declared the event a smashing victory for Trump.
Trump did not back down in the face of hostile left-wing moderator Kaitlan Collins and he also won over the crowd of Republican voters, who cheered his answers and laughed at his jokes.
Of course, leftists melted down in the aftermath since the town hall did not turn out like they expected.
When Trump emerged from the event stronger, journalists and activists on the Left slammed CNN for giving him a forum in the first place.
A feminist group called Ultraviolet ranted and raved that Trump blasted the verdict in E. Jean Carroll’s defamation and rape civil suit against him – where the jury rejected her rape claim but bizarrely found him liable for defaming and assaulting her.
Ultraviolet called for CNN to fire CEO Chris Licht.
“CNN’s town hall was a disaster. CNN knew Donald Trump would lie about the 2020 election and make reckless and untrue claims about everything from January 6th to abortion. He even mocked E. Jean Carroll the day after a federal court convicted him of defamation and sexual assault against her. CNN not only allowed Trump to do so — they enabled him,” Ultraviolet wrote in a statement. “The network must take accountability by firing CEO Chris Licht, who knowingly broadcasted lies and conspiracies on national television.”
Ultraviolet complained that a town hall event designed to give Republican voters a chance to assess the frontrunner for their Party’s nomination for President had an audience filled with GOP voters.
“Licht stacked the deck in Trump’s favor in a desperate attempt to seize ratings. That is unacceptable. Regardless of his relationship with Trump, it’s clear Chris Licht is not up to leading a credible national news network,” Ultraviolet added.
The group claimed CNN should have censored Trump and warned that other media outlets should not allow him to speak on live TV.
For his part, Licht defended the town hall by explaining that CNN needs to cover all of the people most likely to take the oath of office on January 20, 2025.
“You do not have to like the former President’s answers, but you can’t say that we didn’t get them,” Licht stated. “While we all may have been uncomfortable hearing people clapping, that was also an important part of the story. America was served very well by what we did last night.”
