These Never-Trump hosts are losing their minds over the new King of Late Night

Remember when late-night shows were funny?

The days of Johnny Carson have long since been replaced with hosts pandering and peddling “progressive” propaganda.

But these Never-Trump hosts are now losing their minds after a new King of Late Night has been crowned.

Who is Greg Gutfeld?

Greg Gutfeld began his career as an assistant to conservative writer, R. Emmett Tyrrell, at the American Spectator.

Gutfeld would go on to have a successful career editing magazines, including doubling the subscription numbers during his tenure as Editor-in-Chief of Stuff magazine.

After a controversial stay at Maxim UK, Gutfeld moved on to become one of the early contributors for the Huffington Post.

However, the humorist often took aim at his fellow Huffington Post writers, including Deepak Chopra, the Young Turk’s Cenk Uygur, and even the site’s co-founder, Arianna Huffington.

From there, Gutfeld became the host of a graveyard-shift political talk show on the Fox News Channel called Red Eye.

Red Eye’s blend of unique political debate, an in-house ombudsman, and comedy led to an almost cult-like following for the show, and its host, Greg Gutfeld.

Gutfeld received a promotion of sorts, moving from his 2 a.m. Eastern time slot, to the coveted 5 p.m. position, as one of the revolving co-hosts of The Five.

The comedian was one of the more well-received hosts on the show, combining his sense of humor with a willingness to make bold political proclamations.

His popularity propelled Gutfeld to another promotion at Fox, this time he was rewarded with his own Late Night talk show.

The new King of Late Night

The Late Night scene had changed over the years.

The days of Johnny Carson roasting both sides of the political aisle were long gone.

A new regime of so-called “comedians,” like Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Trevor Noah, and Samantha Bee ignored laughs in favor of pushing a radical Left political viewpoint and attacking Republicans at every turn – especially Donald Trump.

Their formula for Late Night alienated half the audience and left many viewers with no place to go for late night laughs.

Enter Greg to the late-night scene in April 2021 and his new show Gutfeld!

The show was a ratings sensation virtually overnight.

Now, a little more than a year later, the verdict is in and Gutfeld is the new, undisputed, King of Late Night.

Gutfeld has made history, becoming the first cable program host to hold the title of “most-watched” late night show – beating out broadcast network competitors at CBS, NBC, and ABC.

Fox News has released the full ratings, “Gutfeld’s Gutfeld! averaged 2.19 million viewers to defeat CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, which averaged 2.15 viewers. Marking the first month since January 2017 that the left-wing comedian did not finish at Number 1 in late-night television between broadcast and cable. In the month of August, Gutfeld! also outpaced ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, NBC’s Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, and Comedy Central’s The Daily Show.”

And how does CNN stack up to Gutfeld?

CNN’s highest-rated show – of any hour – is Anderson Cooper 360.

Cooper’s show pulls in an average of just 950,000 nightly views – less than half the audience of Gutfeld’s.
