Trump Derangement Syndrome is a very real thing and it’s causing very real problems for Democrat politicians.
Going on two years out of office, some Democrats are still sinking all their focus and attention on former President Donald Trump.
And now, this deep blue state Attorney General’s never-ending vendetta against Trump could spell the end of her political career.
Can a Democrat lose statewide in New York this year?
Back in the 2020 Presidential election, Joe Biden scored 60% of the vote to Donald Trump’s 38%.
In other words, New York is a very blue state.
Because of that, one would think incumbent Attorney General in the Empire State, Letitia James would be able to coast to re-election on both the Democrat and Working Families party tickets.
However, a new poll out of the Big Apple suggests AG James is in critical danger of losing her job at the hands of New York voters.
According to the latest Trafalgar survey, Republican Michael Henry is leading James by one-point, 44%-43%.

James must be asking herself how the contest is even competitive in deep blue New York.
Donald Trump vs. Letitia James
James has a few things working against her.
First, she’s instituted criminal-friendly policies, like reduced bail and failed to prosecute perpetrators, leaving violent thugs on the street.
Crime rates have surged while James has been the state’s Attorney General.
AG James has also sued the National Rifle Association and has stood alongside un-elected New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and NYC Mayor Eric Adams in restricting New Yorkers’ gun rights.
However, what James is most known for – and what she’s dedicated most of her term in office to – is her mission to bring down Donald Trump.
James’ vendetta against the 45th President of the United States rivals that of Liz Cheney’s.
Trump is to James what the Red Sox are to Yankees fans.
James has filed a lawsuit against the Trump Organization and held two grand juries against the former President.
She was quick to jump on the bandwagon following the FBI and Department of Justice raid of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
James is investigating Trump for things as small as utility bills – all on the dime of New York taxpayers.
She’s rejected settlement offers and even targeted the former President’s family and former associates, like Steve Bannon.
“We will use every area of the law to investigate President Trump and his business transactions and that of his family as well,” James said while campaigning for office.
And what does Trump think of James?
He pleads the fifth, repeatedly, and points to her obvious, rampant political bias as to why.
Perhaps even more than Michael Henry, should James lose in a stunning upset this November, perhaps no New Yorker will be smiling wider than Donald J. Trump.
