John Kennedy sounded the alarm on this unspeakable scheme to save Alejandro Mayorkas

Senate Democrats don’t want any bad press in the middle of an Election Year.

They’re trying to protect Joe Biden from an avalanche of negative headlines.

And John Kennedy sounded the alarm on this unspeakable scheme to save Alejandro Mayorkas.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas became the first Cabinet official in almost 150 years to be impeached by the House of Representatives for his role in the historic border crisis.

The House will send two Articles of Impeachment to the Democrat-controlled Senate, where all eyes will be watching.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) could bury it with 51 votes or conduct a sham trial by bringing it to a swift conclusion before the evidence is presented.

John Kennedy warns Senate Democrats against burying Mayorkas’ trial

U.S. Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) is fighting to ensure that a full and fair impeachment of Mayorkas is conducted in the Senate.

He warned Democrats about not holding an impeachment trial.

“Now my Democratic colleagues in the Senate today may be about to make some new history in this room,” Kennedy said. “Apparently, they think it’s a brave new world and they want to set a dangerous new precedent. For the very first time, Senate Democrats are seeking to table, maybe even dismiss, an impeachment of a sitting Cabinet official without holding a trial. They are summoning spirits they won’t be able to control.”

Kennedy addressed why Senate Democrats don’t want to hold an impeachment trial.

“Please my colleagues don’t do it,” Kennedy warned. “I fear though that Senate Democrats are going to try and take the Articles of Impeachment that our colleagues in the United States of House of Representatives thoughtfully crafted and passed with a majority vote and toss them into the trash. Without hearing from either side. They don’t want to let the House impeachment managers make their case. They don’t want to let Secretary Mayorkas make his case. They just want to ignore the House’s evidence and summarily sweep it under the rug and that is wrong.”

Mayorkas trial is dangerous for Senate Democrats

Mayorkas has no chance of being convicted in a Democrat-controlled Senate, but his trial could do enormous political damage in an Election Year.

Democrats don’t want the border crisis generating bad headlines from the trial as Mayorkas and President Joe Biden’s abject failure is put in the national spotlight.

And Schumer wants to protect vulnerable Senate Democrats who are up for re-election this year from having to take a tough vote that could expose them.

U.S. Senator Jon Tester (D-MT) – the most vulnerable Democrat up this fall – would have his phony message to voters in ruby-red Montana that he’s tough on the border exposed by voting against a Mayorkas impeachment.

Chuck Schumer wants to sweep his impeachment problem under the rug to save his razor-thin majority.
