Alvin Bragg’s case against Donald Trump got destroyed by this brutal truth

It’s a dark day for America as the Democrat Party officially put Donald Trump on criminal trial.

Soros prosecutor Alvin Bragg is leading this assault on the rule of law.

But Alvin Bragg’s case against Donald Trump got destroyed by this brutal truth.

Alan Dershowitz shreds Bragg’s case

Jury selection is underway in Donald Trump’s criminal trial.

No matter the result, the fact that Bragg was able to get this case to trial demonstrates the utter collapse of the legal system in New York into a partisan vortex that Democrats used to entrap Donald Trump for the purposes of election interference.

Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz appeared on Sean Hannity’s show and declared that he’d never seen a case as flimsy as the one Bragg brought against Trump where he is prosecuting non crimes as felonies.

“I’ve been doing this for 60 years, Sean. Teaching criminal cases, defending criminal cases, writing about criminal cases – this is, by far, the weakest criminal case I have ever seen in my 60 years. There is nothing here. There is no misdemeanor, there is no felony, there is no federal crime. The feds refused to prosecute – even Bragg refused to prosecute until some of his young progressive woke prosecutors demanded that he prosecute,” Dershowitz exclaimed.

Bragg is claiming Donald Trump falsified business records to cover an illegal campaign contribution to his 2016 campaign.

But the federal government – who holds jurisdictions over federal campaigns – never charged Trump with a crime.

And nondisclosure agreements (NDA) like the one Stormy Daniels signed in exchange for a $130,000 payment are perfectly legal.

Bragg took a legal document that is commonplace in corporate America and twisted it into a federal campaign law violation despite the fact that the authorities tasked with overseeing such a matter deemed it legal.

Dershowitz laments the criminalization of politics

Dershowitz asked viewers to put the politics of an elected Democrat District Attorney placing the Republican nominee for President on trial in an Election Year.

He detailed how the payment Trump made is perfectly legal under federal campaign finance law, as candidates can do whatever they want with their own money, provided it’s an expenditure they would make in the normal course of their lives.

In this case, Dershowitz explained that Trump would have paid Daniels the money to sign the NDA since he would have wanted to prevent embarrassment to his wife even if he wasn’t running for President.

“Forget about the fact that they’re doing it to try to prevent somebody from running and succeeding in running for President – forget about that. If this were using any individual, this combination of trying to elevate it to a felony by claiming that the only reason that he paid the nondisclosure funds was to prevent voters from learning about it. Obviously, he did it because he didn’t want to embarrass his family, he didn’t want to embarrass his wife. And the idea that you can prosecute somebody – they could have gone after Alexander Hamilton on this theory,” Dershowitz stated.

Bragg wades into dangerous waters

Dershowitz wrapped up by saying that this case shows there is a double standard of justice at work in America.

After all, this was simply a Democrat prosecutor bending the law to indict a political rival, as evidenced by the fact there are no other examples of such charges ever being filed against anyone in the history of New York City.

“I have a challenge: name any case in the history of America where anybody was ever prosecuted for failing to disclose a hush money payment on some kind of business form. It’s never happened in the history of this country. And to use an unprecedented jerry-rigged case against the man running against your President, your Democrat, is such an abuse of the legal system, we ought to change our motto from ‘E pluribus unum’ to ‘double standard hypocrisy,’” Dershowitz continued.
